Connecting with Maganja Spirit
Connecting with Maganja Spirit:
Using Maganja Medicine to Access Higher Purpose and Higher Consciousness.
This is an exclusive workshop combined with ritual and engaging all the senses in achieving healing through the use of maganja medicine, specifically with Maganja--our very own, ceremoniously grown plant ally. Special guest, Poofy, will be facilitating Yoga on High, a yoga practice incorporating maganja and yoga.
Lyn Pacificar is a traditional Filipina albularyo (healer & herbalist) and Katuuran (Visayan shaman) who has been practicing maganja medicine for over 20 years. She currently grows several plants, including her favorite Blue Dream strain which she lovingly calls “Maganja.” Maganda means “beautiful” in Tagalog, and “ganja” is Sanskrit for healing "plant medicine." Combining both words = Maganja. She creates oils, balms, tinctures, and foods from her organically and ritualistically grown herbal medicines. For this workshop/popup, she will open up a container of ceremony and introduce participants to Maganja. They will begin connecting to the plant spirit through journey work. The day will continue into the evening with yoga, food, thought sharing, and concluding ceremony.
