I am a Filipino person in diaspora and have come to know about the healing and spiritual properties of guava leaf through Herbalaria. I've been wanting to learn more and get closer to Filipino culture, and thought incorporating this skin oil, which is made with guava leaf, could be a simple, yet intimate (in that I'd be directly applying it to my skin) way to do this. I've mentioned in previous reviews that Herbalaria's products have helped my skin recover from using a product whose formula no longer worked for me. I've only noticed improvement since using the Bayabas Skin Elixir. My skin retains its moisture/smoothness for longer periods of time. The oil isn't sticky and absorbs quite well, and the scented oil smells so lovely! So glad I decided to go with a subscription for this!

I purchased both the 30ml dropper bottle and 10ml roller of the Ha oil for my trip to the Philippines in July. Ha oil was absolutely essential for my trip. The roller was perfect size for keeping in my purse for quick applications. It was especially helpful on the long flights or sitting in Manila traffic to roll over my temple or under my nose while wearing my mask and provide some peace with the gentle smell and relaxing benefits. The dropper was great for all over body application, I love that the Ha oil does not leave a residue or greasy feeling and absorbs well into my skin. I was originally recommended Ha oil as a natural mosquito repellant, I cannot express how effective Ha oil is a mosquito repellant. I am extremely allergic to mosquito bites and was really fearful of being eaten alive during the Philippines' typhoon season. I was only bit on once on the ONE day I forgot to put the HA oil on! Needless to say, I never go without Ha oil in my purse and will always have stock on hand for summer travel.
The first thing that caught my eye was this product's name - Liwanag - followed by the inclusion of lavender, which is one of my favorite flowers and scents. This is the second Herbalaria body polish I've tried, and this is my favorite (so far). I resonated a lot with this polish's ritual applications given my current life chapter, so being able to use this as both a self-care tool and spiritual grounding method is so helpful. The scrub is gentle and not abrasive and smells oh-so-damn good! The lavender notes are strongest, followed by the peppermint, which makes for a calming and refreshing experience when used. I highly recommend this to fellow lavender lovers and those seeking a heightened focus on their intentions, especially when connecting to Spirit/Universe and shedding that which no longer serves.
