Directions for Use:
Mix contents of jar with a clean dry spoon to mix and evenly dispense the product onto hand or washcloth. Gently massage over wet skin to polish away dead skin cells. Leave on for one to two minutes. Avoid eyes and other sensitive areas. Rinse thoroughly, leaving oil behind on skin. Dab skin dry.

Light a lavender candle. Take a few deep breaths in before using Liwanag. Scoop a spoonful of the mixture and place in your hand. Take your other hand and place it over the hand with the polish.
Close your eyes and intend what you wish to slough away from your body, mind, and spirit. Follow the intention with what you want you receive. For example: "I intend to release what does not serve me any longer. My purpose is clear and focused. I welcome all the blessings currently in and entering my life right now."
Proceed to scrub your arms, chest, belly, and anywhere else you feel needs attention. Leave the oil on for a few minutes and visualize your intentions being imbued into your body. Breathe deeply as you polish your skin. As you breathe out, release the intention to the Universe, and speak the mantra, "Ba Ha La Na." Repeat if necessary. Once you are finished, rinse and pat dry.

The first thing that caught my eye was this product's name - Liwanag - followed by the inclusion of lavender, which is one of my favorite flowers and scents. This is the second Herbalaria body polish I've tried, and this is my favorite (so far). I resonated a lot with this polish's ritual applications given my current life chapter, so being able to use this as both a self-care tool and spiritual grounding method is so helpful. The scrub is gentle and not abrasive and smells oh-so-damn good! The lavender notes are strongest, followed by the peppermint, which makes for a calming and refreshing experience when used. I highly recommend this to fellow lavender lovers and those seeking a heightened focus on their intentions, especially when connecting to Spirit/Universe and shedding that which no longer serves.

I've been using this a few times a month as a part of my nighttime routine on stressful days. I have eczema on my hands and legs and this leaves my skin feeling moisturized and renewed. The scent doesn't irritate my skin and is very calming and inviting! I've been using it with intention and as suggested and this helps me feel more renewed when using it that way. I take about a handful and have used this about 5 times; this will probably last me for another 6-8 more uses depending on how large of a scoop I take. I would repurchase after trying the other versions!
